It's that time of year...

No I don't mean Thanksgiving or Christmastime... It's parent-teacher conference time! Since I'm taking classes and can't miss my "How to teach junior high math" class, I had to reschedule a lot of conferences. That means beginning conferences at 7:00am. Fun! That's ok though. Today I only go until 3:00pm (if they don't run late) and then I have class. But I miss the free dinner we get :P oh well. And of course my kids are so great that my conferences are going very smoothly - even ending early! So that's that.
Yesterday I had another midterm. It was hard. I really studied for it, but everyone was upset because there were things on the test that the teacher specifically said would not be, plus the questions were very poorly worded.
Yesterday was also my "nephew"s 4th birthday! I made him a Lightning McQueen birthday cake. I'll post a picture as soon as I can.
That's about all there is to report. One strange thing is that my boyfriend from high school sent me an e-mail yesterday. The last time I talked to him I told him I never wanted to talk to him again. That was about 8 or 9 years ago. Believe me it wasn't just a bad breakup I don't want to talk to you. We had actually broken up at least a year before I said this to him. Anyway Not sure how to respond to his e-mail.
Ok well I guess I should do something more productive between conferences. Like work on projects or grade or crochet. I'm teaching my kids how to crochet and they're doing a great job! I'll post pics of that too when I can. Have a good weekend!

Weird...why the heck did he email you???

I just wouldn't even respond. How did he even get your email address???

He e-mailed me to tell me he still thinks about me and that he thinks I'm a really good person and that his mom was talking about me and she really loves me and blah blah blah. It wasn't a mean e-mail at all, but just the fact that I got it was unsettling. I don't know how he got my address. Part of me wants to say something, but I don't know what.

I'm guessing our high school alumni contact list page published on the internet is where he gleaned the email. Either that or some third party.
